What VAG-COM Mods are suggested?
I'm taking my car to a shop tomorrow to have ceramic brake pads installed, and was going to ask them to change some VAG-COM mods. So far the ones I'm going to ask them to do are:
1. Show oil temp on the main information screen (not just under lap timer)
2. Close all windows with the remote
3. VIM (probably not possible but i'll ask)
Anything else you guys suggest I should ask them to do while it's in the shop?

Here's what I did and like:
Oil temp on console display
Comfort opening
Comfort closing (your #2 above)
Visual confirmation of comfort closing (flash the lights upon full close)
Needle sweep on ignition start
Mirror dip on reverse (I couldn't make it work reliably, however, so I disabled it... others made it work... weird)
Day time running lights blink out-of-phase with the turn signal (so instead of just turning off the DLR when your turn signal is on, it blinks on and off opposite of the turn signal)
Windshield wiper service mode enable/disable via MMI.
Happy to answer any questions.

Purchased it directly from Ross-Tech, as I don't believe there really is another solid option out there. Plus I figured if I got the unlimited VIN version, I could always just sell it at a later date if I no longer had a use for it. The software license is tied to the cable's serial number, so just owning the legit cable gives you the software and updates for free.

I do own the cable... Originally thought about renting one, but all of the options I saw online looked a little shady so I just went ahead and picked one up. If your shop doesn't take care of your VCDS mods today, I'm happy help you out if needed. PM me and we can figure something out.

For the front DRL and turn signal out of phase Select STG 09 ( Central elec) Access Security -> 31347 -> Login Adaptation 10. Change the following values: (16) Leuchte2SL VLB10 - LichtfunktionG2 to " Blinken links Hellphase " (18) Leuchte2SL VLB10 - Dimmung GH2 to "0" (16) Leuchte3SL VRB21 - LichtfunktionG3 to " Blinken rechts Hellphase " (18) Leuchte3SL VRB21 Dimmwert GH - 3 to "0"
Also, just FYI, I swapped out the hallogen turn signal bulbs to LEDs. The instant on/off the LED provides really makes it look nice.
Not my video, but this is what it looks like:
