1. Stay in School

This outdoor billboard only reinforces the classic adage, "Stay in school," the point of which is really driven home when showcased alongside a white R8 Spyder. If this isn't an effective tool to show to punks and wannabe dropouts around the world to encourage motivation, I don't know what is. The R8 is the ultimate incentive for working hard to be able to play harder.

2. Let There Be UV Light

This Audi billboard was made for the night with its glorious, innovative display of an Audi A7 outlined in UV light. Like a product sketched on paper finally coming alive, passers-by were no doubt intrigued by the A7's unique design and mesmerized by its new essence. As intriguing as it is, this billboard still leaves just enough for the imagination. Guess you'll just have to head to the dealership for a test drive.

3. Dealer's Imagination

This billboard sounds like it could have been imagined by a creative dealer garnering some attention for his new shipment of Audi R8s. The text reads, "Attention Lake Forest, IL. An Audi R8 GT has been sold in your town. Slow traffic keep right." I'm sure it convinced those who saw it, to get themselves straight to an Audi dealership for fear of missing out on the thrill of driving one -- even for just a test drive on the highway. If given the choice, anyone would want to be in the driver's seat of a new R8, not in the car that needs to move aside for it.

4. The Rivalry Continues

Don't you just love the smell of a fresh rivalry on your morning commute? The advertorial competition brewing between BMW and Audi lives on, this time with only a few words: "Your move, BMW." The marketing team knew well enough to just let the new Audi A4 speak for itself. This is just one of several Audi vs. BMW themed billboards that have been conjured up across the nation; another slew of ads go back and forth with witty comebacks. Check out the billboard battles between the two brands right here. Something tells me this cat and mouse game won't end anytime soon. Audi being the cat, of course.

5. Rivalry, Part Two

Speaking of luxury carmaker rivalries, here the Audi Q5 sought to destroy the Mercedes equivalent's reputation by comparing it to a cardboard SUV. Again, in just a few words, the juxtaposition is clear: The Q5 is "Attention grabbing," compared to the inferior "Attention seeking" Benz.  The cardboard makeup adds insult to injury, and there's no mistaking exactly what Audi was intending to poke a little fun at -- made easy by the literal Mercedes-Benz billboard not fifty feet away. I'd like to think the Audi marketing team had a good laugh when coming up with this concept.

6. Is That What I Think It Is?

This Audi billboard is equal parts clever and intimidating, with the focal point being an Audi headlight that's impossible to ignore, much like the real-life thing. The point being that everyone will see you coming when you're driving an Audi, and they'll know what you're driving, too. Even when distracted by a blinding light, no one can mistake Audi's signature grill. It's a not-so-subtle reminder to get out of Audi's way -- or else get on board and buy your own.

7. Made for Winter

This 2010 billboard was seen in The Netherlands and perfectly depicts an actual ski pole extending from the billboard support itself. The design alone is enough to make you look twice, even if you're navigating an icy Dutch road. The translation to English reads, "Wintersports begin with grip," a sleek statement that accentuates and plays off of the Audi Quattro's winter-ready capabilities. The Quattro is known for its all-wheel-drive system that enables for better handling even in a blizzard.
