Dubs Along the Rockies 2005

Dubs along the Rockies (DATR) was held in Colorado Springs, CO this year at the Colorado Springs World Arena. Under cloudy blue skies and warm temperatures the Rocky Mountains were a great backdrop to the show grounds and the high speed autocross course. This was the fourth year for the Audi / VW show and while Audi attendance was unfortunately a little light, the Audi owners that did come out for the day brought some very nice rides.

The show on Sunday was the last day of a long weekend for many motorheads and racing enthusiasts, as the final day of the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb was held on Saturday. A rally / race prepped B5 Audi A4 won the open class at the Hill Climb. This Audi is owned by Champagne Motorsports and is powered by a heavily boosted 2.2 liter 5-cylinder 20-valve turbo engine. The car was on display at the show and ran some very exciting exhibition laps on the autocross track.

For 2006, Dubs along the Rockies is already scheduled to be held again on the same weekend as the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb. With the great Colorado weather and unique historical racing event we hope even more Audi affecienados will join us again next year.
