The 2016 Q7 introduces new design language to both exterior and interior features, featuring a lightweight, multimaterial body and all-new chassis. While the exterior dimensions have remained similar to the outgoing model, the Q7 offers substantially more interior room for passengers offering seating for up to seven passengers. The new MMI all-in-touch control unit with a large touchpad streamlines and simplifies operation for the driver. Smartphone integration with Google Android Auto and AppleCarPlay are also available for the first time on an Audi Q7. A new Audi tablet is available that can be mounted onto the back of the driver and passenger seats respectively for rear seat entertainment as well as to operate MMI functions. The Audi tablet has been design to be automotive grade and tested to withstand varying temperatures. A new 3D sound experience offered by the available Bang & Olufson and Bose Surround Sound systems enable the listener to experience another dimension in sound that adds to the interior of the Q7.

The Q7 features a new portfolio of driver assistance systems, including adaptive cruise control with traffic jam assistant, which can provide assistance to the driver with accelerating, braking and steering the vehicle while it operates under 40 mph on well-marked roads.

The Audi Q7 will be offered with standard quattro all-wheel-drive. A new 3.0 liter V6 TDI clean diesel engine variant will accompany the 3.0 liter V6 TFSI engine for the US onsale date scheduled for the 1st quarter of 2016.
