2025 Audi RS e-tron GT Performance

The new 2025 Audi RS e-tron GT Performance follows in the footsteps of its counterpart, the Porsche Taycan Turbo GT.

Given the fact that it’s Porsche counterpart – the Taycan – is getting some updates that were just unveiled to the world mere weeks ago, it was quite literally only a matter of time before the Audi e-tron GT followed suit. While this is to be expected for pretty much every automotive model that receives some sort of refresh or redesign ever few years, the debut of the 2025 Porsche Taycan brought forth something extra exciting – the new Turbo GT model, which packs a serious all-electric performance punch. Now, the same thing is apparently happening to its counterpart in what will be known as the 2025 Audi RS e-tron GT Performance, too.

Following in the footsteps of its “Performance” ICE counterparts, the 2025 Audi RS e-tron Performance is set to represent the new flagship in that particular lineup, though as has historically been the case, it likely won’t offer quite as much performance as its Porsche partner. The current RS e-tron generates 637 horsepower and 612 pound-feet from its pair of electric motors, and it’s unclear what sort of upgrade the new Performance will offer – at least for now – though Audi did share a few images here to pique out interest ahead of its official debut.

Given the fact that the 2025 Porsche Taycan Turbo GT cranks out an astounding 1,019 horsepower, we can certainly expect a big upgrade on the outgoing range-topping e-tron GT, and perhaps even a figure somewhat nearing the 938 ponies generated by the Taycan Turbo S. Regardless, Audi did share a few other tidbits of information pertaining to the new RS e-tron GT Performance aside from the ones we can clearly see in these photos, such as its carbon-ceramic brakes and massive wheels.

In addition to giving it more powerful e-motors, the 2025 Audi RS e-tron GT Performance has also received some updates to its battery pack that will result in improved range figures compared to the outgoing model, and those tweaks will result in faster charging speeds as well. Additionally, Audi has tweaked the EV sedan’s suspension setup, giving it active dual-valve dampers at all four corners that can make adjustments independent of each other, a system derived from the recently-updated Porsche Panamera. This will reportedly not only improve handling responsiveness, but also, ride comfort, to boot.

Otherwise, any additional updates present in the 2025 Audi RS e-tron GT Performance remain a mystery for now. Audi plans to fully reveal its new performance flagship later this year – along with updated versions of lesser variants – so it’s a safe bet that we’ll be treated to far more teasers ahead of that unveiling.
