Set to take the place of the outgoing A6, the 2025 Audi A7 Avant has been spotted testing yet again with some obvious updates.

We’ve known for some time now that the forthcoming 2025 Audi A7 Avant was set to take the place of the A6 Avant as that brand’s range-topping wagon, which is notable for a number of reasons – not the least of which is the fact that well, wagons in general aren’t quite as common as they used to be. Of course, the 2025 Audi A7 Avant isn’t joining the A6 in the lineup, but rather, replacing it as the luxury brand works to shift its ICE-powered machines to odd numbers, reserving even numbers for its EVs. The 2025 Audi A7 Avant, as it will be known, has been spotted testing a few times in the past, but now, we’re seeing some new footage of it frolicking in the snow, too.

In this video from CarSpyMedia, the A7 Avant was seen wearing heavy camo and undergoing winter testing in the Arctic circle in all of its five-door, rounded rear glory. Its swirly camo is obviously designed to conceal any styling changes that lurk underneath, but we can tell that its lines are more evolutionary than revolutionary – as one might expect from an already well-received and quite handsome model.

Regardless, there are a few noticeable differences we can see here, including a few on the front fascia. There, we can see a slimmer grille that’s also wider than the one present on the current A6 Avant, along with slimmer LED headlamps, revised side vent designs, and a shorter front overhang. Out back, we can clearly see a taillamp assembly that spans the entire width of the rear end, along with a pair of oval/rectangular-shaped exhaust tips as well.

As far as what lies inside the cabin, that much is unclear from this footage, but we imagine that the typical updates will be present there as well – including perhaps larger infotainment screens, or new designs at the very least. The same goes for powertrains, as the 2025 Audi A7 Avant should have several to offer, including potential hybrid and even plug-in hybrid options – with the latter looking likely for the range-topping RS variant.

For now, any remaining details pertaining to the 2025 Audi A7 Avant remain a bit murky, but that’s to be expected given the fact that we’re likely still months away from an official reveal. Regardless, we’ll undoubtedly learn much more about the new wagon in the coming months, as well as get a better look at its design as the camo layers inevitably peel off.
