Audi R8

The Audi R8 is going away and that is sad news for even the youngest fans of the German super car.

Since 2006 the Audi R8 has been a lust worthy super car. The concept car shape, powerful engines, terrific handling, and glorious sound made it a favorite of car enthusiasts for almost 20 years. And now the final curtain is coming down on this amazing car. And that is bound to make even the youngest Audi fans a little bit sad. Social media is packed with images and videos of the youngest among us showing love for the Audi R8. It is a delight to see the reactions of these youngsters around their favorite car. Their reactions are adorable, and it is simply heartwarming. But a bit heart wrenching as well knowing this car is going away. Maybe someday there will be an EV replacement, but it just won’t be the same, will it?

But let’s enjoy the happiness the Audi R8 brings while we can. An Instagram post was recently shared by user hypewhip that includes a video by fellow user wolfgva_ and it is absolutely precious. If your heart does not melt seeing a little baby smile and laugh at the sound of an Audi R8 revving, then you might want to consider seeking the help of a mental healthcare professional. The baby in the video is how we all feel when we are sitting in an Audi R8 revving the engine. This is exactly why we buy these things and cherish them so much. They bring unbridled joy. Kids love them as much as adults. Possibly even more, as the kids don’t have to make the payments.

Audi R8 Love

The video of the kid reacting to the sound of the engine is adorable. And don’t let the fact that there is a young child in a two-seat super car scare you. The passenger airbag is off. The baby is strapped in properly and is as safe as can be. Just enjoy the moment for what it is. You are watching a child take one of the first steps to becoming a lifelong car enthusiast. That is something we can all appreciate. Sadly, by the time this tot is old enough to drive there will be nothing but EVs being sold. So hopefully pappa holds onto this Audi R8 for a long time.

Not Alone

R8 Love

The baby in the video is not the only youngster to have a passion for the Audi R8. We have seen this many times before over the years. Back in 2011 Audi launched a Twitter campaign with the hashtag #WantAnR8. It was one of the most successful Twitter campaigns ever, reaching over 100 million people. Audi would select a handful of folks that tweeted with that hashtag and give them an Audi R8 to cruise around in for a day. Not a bad prize for just sending a tweet. Audi used the picture captured here of this little girl hugging an Audi R8 as part of their campaign. And for good reason. The picture is adorable, and it sums up how a lot of us feel about the car.

Like Father Like Son

Father's Day

Audi also used the image above as part of this campaign showing a father and son getting into their respective Audi R8 rides. One R8 uses internal combustion power and the other pedal power. But it is another example of how this special car can bring people together and make memories. We are sad to see the R8 go, but we will always cherish the good times it provided while it was here. For the R8 owners out there. Take care of your car and make sure to share it with the younger generations as much as possible.
