Audi RS6 e-tron Spied Testing at Nurburgring Looking Very Much Production Ready

The all-electric Audi RS6 e-tron is expected to deliver serious performance when it debuts this summer.

It was but (roughly) one month ago when the all-new 2025 Audi Q6 and SQ6 debuted as the latest additions to the brand’s ever-growing all-electric lineup. Bridging the gap between the Q4 e-tron and Q8 e-tron, the new Q6 e-tron and its high-performance counterpart offer customers either 456 or 510 horsepower, 300+ miles of driving range, and – at least in the SQ6 – a sportier suspension setup. However, most of us enthusiasts have instead been waiting on the high-performance Audi RS6 e-tron to make its long-awaited debut, and it appears that we may just be on the cusp of such an unveiling.

That’s because the new Audi RS6 e-tron was just spied testing at the Nurburgring, according to CarScoops, which secured spy photos of that particular outing to prove it. Though this prototype is still clad in camo from head to toe, it’s the least amount of that type of covering we’ve seen yet, and it shows off the new model’s more aggressive lines that somewhat mimic the front end treatment present on the RS Q6 Sportback e-tron, too.

From there, we get a good look at the fender vents and the new, large, and lightweight-looking wheels fitted to this Audi RS6 e-tron prototype, which frame a set of massive-looking brakes. There are, of course, a set of side skirts underneath to amp up the sportiness, along with flush-mounted door handles, a rear diffuser, and – as one would imagine – a lower ride height likely brought about by some serious suspension revisions.

It’s unclear what the interior of the RS6 e-tron will look like, but the safe bet is on a cabin that largely resembles the one present in the new Q6 e-tron, which features a trio of massive screens. However, as is always the case, the RS version of the electric model is likely to feature a host of carbon fiber trim and unique touches that set it apart from less performance-focused models.

Speaking of performance, the Audi RS6 e-tron will ride on the same PPE platform as the Q6 e-tron, Porsche Macan EV, and various other EVs in the VW Group portfolio. It’s all speculation in terms of what will power the RS6 e-tron as of now, but we expect a dual-motor layout and all-wheel-drive, with a 600+ horsepower output similar to the Macan Turbo EV variant. In the meantime, we’ll be eagerly awaiting the debut of the Audi RS6 e-tron, which is expected to take place at some point this summer.
