MUST WATCH: Rare 2001 Audi RS4 Avant Gets Super-Detailed
Watching this 2001 RS4 Avant makeover is incredible and shows what you can do with the right cleaning materials and a thorough detailing.
When it comes to cars, this 2001 Audi RS4 Avant is one of the rarest vehicles in the U.S. Painted a vibrant Nogaro Blue, it’s one of a handful in the country. It’s also in need of some rare help to get it ready for an upcoming car show. The RS4 needs full detailing, including fixing paint defects, swirls, and water spots. The interior is also looking a bit ragged as well. Fortunately, the people at AMMO NYC are able to help out, putting on a master class in how to detail a car.
Car detailing has come a long way in recent years. Using the right equipment and cleaning agents, you can remove the toughest stains, fix paint issues, and degrease the undercarriage so it looks showroom new. As AMMO shows, the key is using the right cleaning agent and not a “one size fits all” cleaner. The grime practically melts off, leaving the 21-year-old RS4 Avant looking like it just rolled out of the factory.
Next up is fixing the paint. A complete respray is not practical and would seriously hurt the originality of this rare RS4 Avant. That’s why the focus is paint correction. The video shows how to remove scratches and imperfections. Overspray is eliminated, and the trim, lights, and grille are brought back to life. The results are stunning, bringing out the brilliance of the Nogaro Blue paint.
Inside, the interior also needed lots of help. The seats looked worn, and the entire interior needed thorough detailing. AMMO sent the seats out to Fibrenew for reconditioning and detailed everything from the headliner to the carpets. Like the exterior, the results are amazing. Check out the video below to see the complete makeover on this rare Audi RS4 Avant.
