Top 5 Greatest Audi Engines

5.2 V10

V10 engines are rare. Only a handful of car companies made them, and even fewer companies still produce them. Fortunately, Audi is one of those companies. It borrowed the 5.2-liter V10 from the Lamborghini Gallardo, which is also part of the VW Group. Audi started by installing the V10 in the R8, giving it a serious bump in power over the 4.2-liter V8. Then for giggles, they stuffed it in cars like the S6 and S8. No one needs a V10 super-sedan. But if uncorking the howl of the V10 in a sedan is wrong, I don’t want to be right.

In most cars, the 5.2-liter V10 puts down 518 horsepower and freely revs to 7000 rpm. It’s a great naturally aspirated engine, but unfortunately, its days are numbered, with 2023 being the last year of production.
