Default 03' A4 water pump leak...

My car has 47K and my mechanic said my water pump had a small leak but wasn't bad enough to change. Any tricks? I haven't noticed any leaks in my garage or coolant levels dropping. He said at 70K all the belts and water pump are changed all at the same time and that it should be ok till then. Any comments or advice?

Default If it is leaking now I would do you timing belt and everything at 50k...

or replace your water pump now and the rest at 60k. You have to remove the timing belt to get to the water pump though.

Default It is tucked behind the timing belt covers and then it comes down the oil pan..

and then you have your belly pan on the bottom, so it would have to be pissing out for you to get a drip on the floor.
