1.8t Engine Noise after shutdown
2002 1.8t Beetle.
After shutting down the engine, I hear a small vibrating noise close to alternator and compressor.
It goes for like 8 minutes...
Is this normal..?
It sounds like a vacuum pump.
May be connected to the EVAP System.
Thanks.

Re: Not normal. The turbo spins down for several minutes after the engine stops.
Thanks for the reply!
This sound appears to be coming from the front part of the engine close to the radiator. The pipe that this black vibrating box is connected to is also connected to a radiator hose.
The circular box is mounted to the Radiator Housing. I checked another Turbo Beetle, and it was also making this noise. Not sure if this is normal since the referenced Beetle I am not sure of the maintenance or how it runs.
Any ideas..?

Re: Coolant afterpump?
Thanks for the reply!
This starts making more sense now.. I was not sure of these cards had something like this. I'll start investigating about this.
Thanks!
