I have an A4 B8 that has done 65,000 kms. I experienced a 'clunking'noise from the engine which vibrated through the car. This usually occurred on a cold start. Audi had the vehicle for over 2 months (had it back at one stage but issue repeated and returned to service). The said the problem had to do with the transmission and that it had to be 're-built'. Have had it back a week now and today when I started and put in reverse a similar noise occurred. My son said it sounded like a helicopter! Will be calling service again on Monday. Has anyone else experienced this?

God the worst thing you could have done is buy an Audi with a CVT trans. There just awful, they last about as long as you got. I would not plan on keeping the car much longer after warranty.
