Default Care dies help please

I've been having an ongoing problem. I have a 2001 A4 1.8T TIP. I have used to have the APR Chip, I upgraded to a K04 setup so I had to change to a different Chip set so I went with the Upsolute Chip and this was over about. Performace wise I have no complaints but my problem is that when I come off the freeway as soon as I come close to stopping the car just dies. It starts right back up with no problem and I have no other instances of it dying just when coming of the freeway so I assume it has something to do with the higher RPM's of freeways speeds. But like I said it only happens when slowing down off the freeway I can gun it to redline with no problem. It doesn't happen all the time but about 70% of the time. Just some other background, there are no other engine related problem, no check engine lights, noises or missfires and like I said it starts everytime with no problem. Any thoughts are greatly appretiated. Thx

It has 95k on it but, I went through the whole broken timing belt fiasco and had to buy a rebuilt engine (long story) so I have about 12k on the rebuilt engine.
