I have a 2001 A4 1.8T Quattro, what are the proper/best coil packs: D? E? R? Before sending me to the VIN/trunk label, the engine was replaced 90k miles ago. It is stamped AWM, is there a way to narrow down what the engine originally came out of?

While we are at it, what are the right spark plugs? Depending on the day I am told NGK BKR6E @ $10/set of 4 or PFR6Q @ $11 each.

I seem to go through coil packs every 18 months or so, are they just wearing out or could something else like the wires need replacing?
