<center><img src="http://upload.mrpho.net/uploads/ecu-3.jpg"></center><p>I recently bought an ECU board for really cheap at a garage sale of all places. it has no case.

I'm curious as to what car its for, its a VW/Audi ECU for sure and its chipped with something.

Can anybody help me out here?

Default from the dates on the ICs, and the pin header style, my guess is it's a ...

early dbw motronic ME 7 ECM. A chip tuner, who can hook up the ECM on the bench to a PC and get the specifics downloaded will ID the car model and engine via part number. You can also try doing a bench hookup on a VAG-COM, by connecting the +12vdc,ground and obd2 diagnostic lines to the corresponding header pins on the ECM.
