please help. i have a 2002 a4 1.8t cvt. after driving for about 10 minutes, D is no longer lit, tiptronic doesn't work, can't really go into reverse but can still drive forward fine. if you continue driving for 15-20 more minutes, D lights up again, everything seems to work again that is until the next time you start the engine & the problems start up again. any ideas of what it could be? ever heard of this problem? any advice would be appreciated. thanks...

THERE IS A MAGNET IN THE SHIFTER SELECTOR THAT COMES LOOSE FROM TIME TO TIME. THIS CAN CAUSE THE ISSUE. ALSO THE MULTI FUNCTION SWITCH OR THE SHIFTER MODULE CAN ALSO CAUSE THIS(THERE ARE ALSO MANY OTHER THINGS BUT THESE ARE THE MOST COMMON)
DID YOU SPILL A DRINK ON THE SHIFTER?
THIS DOESN'T SOUND TOO SERIOUS. THE AUDI MAY BE GIVING YOU A SCARE BUT IT'S JUST PLAYING AROUND.
IT STILL LOVES YOU.
