Default Just switched ECU for GIAC ECU... Why won't it start?

Hey guys,
I have a early 1999 Audi A4 1.8t AEB. I just tried to install a GIAC ECU but for some reason it isn't starting. It wouldn't start the first or second time I connected it. I took the case off and noticed the chip wasn't alligned right (it was slid down and 1 set of pins werent connected) so i realigned it and tried it again. This time it started and ran fine for about 30-60 sec then turned off. Once it turned off I tried to start it again and it wouldn't start again.

I tried draining the battery but that didn't work.
The harnesses are deffinately secure.
The stock ECU still works when I plug it in.

Can anyone help me?
