Default Leak in the intake tract..

or so I was told. It had been a while but I dont drive my car all that much and the side effects dimished some(read below).
.. Some details;

What was happening (and still happens but not as bad) is that whenever I release the gas pedal and press down on it again (no matter how softly), the car kicks back very annoyingly, (is felt and prolly can be seen).

This happens in any gear, at any speed, at any RPM.

I've stopped by my mechanics and he couldnt find anything wrong with the hoses.

And shortly after, I received my exhaust and obviously couldnt wait to put it on.. so I did that before getting a chance to knock this problem down.
I noticed that the kicks were reduced by about 80% most of the time.
But I can still feel the engine hesitating if I go WOT. :S which I try not to overdo.

Any tools I should get or places I should check?

I'd look at the BPV and the hose leading to it.
