Take the pan back down and check the rod bearings, consider just getting a new set of standard rod bearings and replace them. I always do when 1.8Ts have oil pressure issues that starve the engine of oil. I have seen a few that sound fine, but i pull a few rods and one of them have spun the bearing some, and really started scoring up, but the crank looked fine. So I tossed in new bearings and an oil pump and away it goes.
