I´ve been thinking about installing a big turbo upgrade in my S3. But before doing so I would like to know your experience with the GT28RS kit. Can it work with stock pistons and does it really reduces the engine life expectancy, or u can run 50000km without a problem??
Thanks
Thanks

If you take care of your BT(Big Turbo) car, then it should last you awhile.
Yes you can run it with stock pistons.
Yes it reduces the engine life expectancy.
Should be abel to make it 50,000km as long as you keep care of it..

Thanks for the replies guys. Well, I have an S3 and I was really talking about swapping the K04 turbo for a 28RS. I know that some parts will have to be changed, like the injectors, fuel pump,etc.. but I was really worried about the stock internals and how long they can last...
Ray, do u think the APR2255TT will be better than the GT28RS big turbo upgrade?

GT28RS. Seriously just call APR and ask them what they have. You know they built up a mexican S3 for the 1.8T challenge 2 years ago so they must be able to help you out somehow. Your engine has aweseom potential. The engine you have in your car has lower compression ratio than our longitudnal 1.8T's and I think you may even have stronger internals. I think you will be ok with that type of power. I know APR ran their B6 A4 test car for over a year at 340 hp with no problems.
