I swapped my AEB engine into another car.
Full swap complete with harness, ECU.
Noticed that after starting, car runs on 3 cyl for 20 sec or so.
Also felt some hesitation mid range WOT.

I pulled the injector off starting with front (while cold and running on 3 cyl). Sure enough, no change in running when I pulled the 3rd one off.

Note: Giac PC16 tune with 325cc/31 lb injectors, AFPR set to 2.8 bar.

Took the injectors out and send for cleaning. Put stock injectors and stock ECU in.

Surprise: same issues! So NOT injector

What else could cause '3 cyl cold start for 20 sec'?

Do spark change 'warm up'

Ignition coils?

Ignition control module?

Or is fuel pump on new car not building up/holding pressure and needs to run a bit (would also explain mid RPM hesiation at WOT)?

AEB engines have the power stage on the airbox or firewall. Might be going bad. It can cause single cylinder misfires
