Default Re: *clunk clunk*

I had a smililar problem when going over rough roads/RR tracks back in July, & it was my tie rod ends. I replaced them with the heavy duty ones from ECS Tuning, & it has been great ever since. Sounds like you're having more symptoms than I did though. Just thought I'd add it to the bag of suggestions anyway.

Default My toes are hurting

Believe me, I've kicked the crap out of this car by now. I've tapped, pried, knocked, karate-chopped, and I have cursed. Stabilzer bar and bushings are rock solid. Pads don't move. I'll check the metal clips on the caliper one more time.

Default New tie rod ends went in about a month ago

Mine looked like hell. A week after I replaced the noise started. I replaced front pads and rotors a couple weeks earlier.

Default I would've known that had I been here more often, huh??? ;-)

I don't try to pretend that I know a lot about suspension issues because my experience is limited in that area. Audio is more my forte.

Default I found the judo chop to be the most effective ;)

I also learned that when hitting the wheel with the heel of my hand to hit the tire, not the edge of the rim. That was a painful mistake to say the least I had an arc shaped bruise on my hand for a lil while after that one...

Default You mean you'd read my posts? :-P

My tie rod ends looked nasty, especially the right one. I was like one sharp turn away from certain death.

Default OUCH! I thought mine were bad when I changed them!

You were definitely driving on borrowed time.
