Default Yeah, but have you ever had gravy made out of

used bacon grease? Tastes great! I do agree w/ you though, it won't hurt to have fresh oil at anytime. I change mine at 3k miles even though I know it's not required. It puts the "preventative" in preventative maintenance IMHO. Now I wonder what everyone's opinion is on frequency of oil filter change; every time or every other time you change your oil!!!

Default Plus, he's an hour behind you, & 2 behind me.

Nice to know someone takes up the slack around here.

Default I've been doing one every 10k miles for the past 76k miles *ducks*

Before that I did one every 7500 miles for 50k miles. 10k seems fine with full synthetic and the mild California climate (No temps below freezing). I need to add about 0.5 to 0.75 quarts to keep it topped off between oil changes. That's of course, AFTER I fixed my leaking valley pan. ;-)

Default Good morning!

UrS4 & I were discussing your sleeping in earlier. You missed your chance to get a cheap shot in at me.

Default I use a new filter every single time

Though the filter is supposedly good for 30k km (19k miles).

Default I was busy...

No really. :-P

I would never take a cheap shot at you. After all, you're armed with lethal Argon-filled ***** or something.

Default I do too.

I've heard leaving the old filter on helps filter more dirt from the oil, so I thought I'd ask.

Default lol. I've heard that some windows are filled w/argon to keep houses

cool from the heat. That's gotta be expensive!
