Default 1993 90 Quattro V6: Oil Pan Pullage!!

I have done alot of searching, but any NEW advise would be GREATLY appreciated...

Came from mk2 VW's, and Audi's are a whole new demon, haha

So I want to replace the upper and lower oil pan gaskets, hearing I may need to remove the starter? and ALT? True or False?

Also hear I need to drop the sub frame, can I just drop it a few inches? Doing it on my back, SUCKS, drained oil today, doing it tomorow, hopefully.

I replaced the missing and cracked vent hoses from the valve covers, that was spitting oil, and am replacing a rusted out coolant line on the front of the block, the steel one.

Also putting in a new starter and oil cooler gasket, anyone care to chime in what to be wary of??

THANK YOU!

The lower oil pan is easy to move. The upper pan removal requires that the subframe be lowered. Still a 2.8l V6 12 V upper pan is easier to remove than an A6 2.7 l biturbo.

LOL on the 2.7 do u have to pull the motor? :-)
on the 2.8 you do have to lower the subframe a few.

No just lift the engine and lower the crossmember enough to get to the turbocharger drain back tubes.
