How much should the flywheel to crankshaft bolts be torqued on a '93 Audi 90S 2.8L (if reusing the bolts and using Loctite "Red")?
I understand that due to the special locking compound that the manufacturer recommends that the bolts not be reused.
I have heard that it is not uncommon to reuse the bolts by using high strength locking compound (Loctite "Red") and a set torque value.
IIRC the 2.3 engine used a value of 74 ft lbs with the old bolts prior to the change to the shouldered bolts with the special locking compound and the 20 ft lbs 90 degree procedure.
Thanks in advance,
Eddie
