Default Aaaaaarrrrrrrrrrggggggggggggggg!!!!!! I've got coolant leaking from somewhere (again)...

Over the weekend I noticed a small amount of coolant on my garage floor. Yesterday, I had a fairly big puddle of coolant under my car when I left from work. I thought it may have been overflow because I overfilled the reservoir but that was like two weeks ago. This morning, the coolant was below the min mark and there was a very small puddle underneath. I just went outside to get something out of my car and, again, there is a fairly large coolant puddle underneath. I can see it dripping off the back, driver's side of the belly pan. Guess I'll have to pull it off tonight and see what's going on under there.

I just replaced a small piece of coolant hose on the oil cooler a month or two ago and I replaced all the coolant hose clamps with ABA ones. It doesn't like the the leak is coming from the front of the engine. Looks like it's more towards the middle or back. I can see dried coolant on and underneath the overflow valve on the bottom of the reservoir but I'm not certain this is where it's coming from. Any suggestions? Could something inside the reservior have cracked causing more coolant to leak out of the overflow than normal?

How about the coolant drain bolt on the block? That is near the back (I believe).

Default I considered that but I believe that is more towards the passenger side. I'll check it out when I

pull the belly pan off. Thanks.

Default Resevoir's do go bad. Too many hoses in that general area to just point at

I'd check the hoses that run from the heater core to the coolant pipes on the engine, these love to leak.

Default Pulled the belly pan off on my lunch break. Looks like it's the water pump. :-(

It has less than 50k on it. What's the good brand of pump? Gepa or Hepu or something like that?

Searched and it looks like MikTip had a problem with a Hepu around the same mileage.

Default I remember MikTip having this problem.. The coolant drain bolt is more toward the drivers side.

It was probably leaking down the front and falling out the back of the pan. I doubt your bolt is leaking inless you didnt tighten it.

Clean the area up turn the car on and take a look at the spots you think might be leaking. If you havnt alread Good luck.

I see dried coolant on the water pump pulley. Fairly certain it's the pump.
