I once got into a arguement with another member on this site about using 02 sensors off other vehicles and that they serve different purposes. He said that they are brand specific well I can vouch that o2 sensors are the same, as long as they have the same colored wires they should work now there are eceptions to this so be careful on what you choose I have a 94 90cs 2.8 AAH with 3wire 02s
If they have grey, black, and white wire then its more than likly a 02 sensor. If it has other color for wires i.e. blue, red, yellow and black thens usually called a air/fuel sensor. Take a close look at the sensor in the pic, see the word Ford on it well this is a older ford 3 wire 02 sensor, switch the plugs to the audi plugs and it will work just fine.
Disclaimer: choosing other sensors other than the ones for your vehicle is your choice and if you dicide to use ones from other companies you do so at your own risk.

You are not relating any new information, and you are also missing some important points (and you've gotten some things wrong).
This has been discussed dozens of times here.

having straight through wires on the sensor, rather than spliced connections is more important than you think... even if the sensor is the same..

you have to use those special krimp connects that come with replacement 02s and well soldering is a p.i.t.a. as well

yeahh, I have always liked his car..
as for the name, I swear, I bought my car, and joined audiworld before I realized there was another green B4 90 pilot. I just happen to use pilot345 for my emails and screen names, quite the coincidence..
And now I have my euro coupe bumper.. our cars will be even closer!
as for the MAF swap, its on my list, but only after I finish completely restoring the car.
Engine and front suspension is all rebuilt, now I just have to do the transmission, and the rear suspension, and a few other odds and ends. Then I will concentrate on pumping the horsepower out.
As for my engine build up, I did a lotta things to the motor. Polished, and gasket matched all the manifolds, not just a quick job either, I took my time making everything as perfect as possible. I paid special attention to the horrible injector blockadge.
The engine runs beautifuly smooth now, especialy with the other emissions mods, and a few other things I cant think of right away. Just clearing out the injector spray path did wonders, idles much smoother, and revs smoother, better power delivery. Now its just waiting to be opened up, just a throttle body, and a MAF and she'll scream. I can feel 'er being choked right now, wants more air all around.
