Hi,
I am new to AW, but I have been lurking for a little while. Already on Motorgeek.

Regarding the MAF, the boys at 034 recently came out with this kit:

Its for the 7A motor, but I am sure you could ask to buy just the billet housing. If I understand correctly, you can use your stock MAF sensor and insert it into the housing. I would guess you need a new chip to handle the new flow, but not sure.

My European 12v is the early one with the 7A style MAF. I really would like to try this new housing.
My MAF is the most restrictive point in the inlet system now. I don't have the money or resources to go for the full IM and heads P&P, but would love to. Then again, my 80 is only FWD.

Mance already said that the 034 7A hose in the kit (or loose) would not fit in the space behind the TB.

I really would like to try to use this MAF housing i.c.w. with two 90dgr tight radius 3" ID elbows, some 3" Al pipe and a velocity stack inside the air box.

Only having 3.5" space between TB and firewall is real tight.

My MMS-200 is already custom chipped. If I could use this big MAF and the 3" hose system, I would say there would be some improvement.
