I need to replace my two front brake lines and have some questions!
1. Is there really an advantage to stainless steel lines vs factory, is it worth the extra $$ with factory calipers?
2. Can I just replace the front and not the rear with stainless steel lines?
3. Are all stainless steel lines the same, cheapest stainless better than factory?
4. Where can I purchase, how much should I expect to pay?
5. Which brake fluid do you recommend!
Thanks in Advance, Noel

1.yes, there is a difference/advantage to having ss lines over the factory line. Unlike the factory line the ss lines will not flex/bulge out, which means that more fluid/pressure will hit the brake caliper harder and faster, hence you will stop harder and faster. Should you put ss lines on oem brake? NO, it just isnt worth the money.
That should answer all your questions, assuming that you have stock brakes now, if not here comes more...
2. yes, you can just do the fronts
3. there will be quality differences, but probably even the cheapest(priced not built) will perform better than the stock lines
4. i dont know a good place to buy them, or exactly what they will cost
5. you can use the same fluid that you use now
P.S. unless you plan to track the car, this may be an unecessary upgrade for you or anyone.
hope i helped

especially under heavier braking.
However, do not expect them to transform OEM brakes into something they can never become.
If you want significantly better braking (less fade in repeated use, shorter distances, etc.), you need: (1) larger, lighter rotors (aluminum hats with 12"-13" rotor rings); (2) multi-pot, lighter calipers (Porsche or Stoptech or Movit), and (3) high-friction "sport" brake pads.
I have been looking at several kits for the last several months and the two best bang-for-the-buck kits appear to be the Stage 2 and Stage 3 ECS kits ($1400-1850) and Stoptech's ($1995). Movit, Brembo, and Alcon start in the mid-$2000 range and go way-up from there.

I went out to test my lines after my break in with the new 12.3" rotors and Mintex pads.... I didn't think you could lock up an ABS system... but I did :-)
Driving on Germantown Road (Portland, OR) there is very little fade and only at the end of the run. It's about 7 miles of twistys.
