threw it on the flow bench this morning and much to my surprise it does flow more air... Significantly more air. In fact 32CFM more air than a stock throttle body for a total of 340CFM. Given the Stage 3 flows 415CFM it's not quite up to the task of competing with it but looks like it does offer what would surely be "feelable" results at a surprising 10.5% improvement over stock. I was expecting a maybe 1-2% improvement to +or- 312-315CFM tops, compared to the 308CFM stock TB so I'm a little awe-struck that it hit 340CFM. I was so shocked I flowed a stock and S3 TB just to make sure the bench's calibration hadn't been upset. Nope their flow rates are right where they're supposed to be.
Damn! Did I say $100? I'm sorry, I meant $195 ;-)
Mmmmmm I love the smell of crow in the morning!

so maybe Now it's a viable product hmmmm?
Mance, what I think you should do is conduct some "competitor product analysis" by means of flow testing other enhanced TB units. Then you can get a feel for how they compare to your product, and then, based on labour, capital, and a small mark-up you could derive a competitively (if not lower) price! OR you could just not do all of that & skip right to offering it for less $'s and hope that it compares to competition units. Just a thought ;-) i know you don't wanna turn this into a "business", but I'm a "business man" so I feel obligated to at least present the methods.
check yah later

I don't like mentioning others and probably went too far already with TDL yesterday. Tho I didn't intend to slam their products it was the only term for comparison available to me. And while I'd never say theirs was a "bad" product just saying mine was better leaves the implication.
Of coarse I can outflow all the commercially available throttle bodies and for dramatically less money. But I can't in good conscience use their name or their products to demonstrate that fact. Least to me, my way of thinking, thats NOT "good business."
I didn't even like using APR's name in the snub mount post. But it's the only other mount mine really compares to. Still, feels a bit icky saying their name in a post promoting my product.

but yea, I see where you're coming from, don't wanna "diss" other people's offerings. No worries, I'd still buy your products over their's.
