Can I switch my 471A MAF to a 471 MAF, it's a dumb reason but I only have the hose for the 471.

Can I switch my 471A MAF to a 471 MAF, it's a dumb reason but I only have the hose for the 471.
Do I need to do anything else??

078133471 and 078133471A use the same hose.
The small bore 054133471A uses a different hose, and different wiring - not easily interchangeable with the 078 MAFs, but doable. The 054 unit was phased out in 93, however, so not sure why you would have a hose for one on a 95.
Going back to a 054 MAF will cost you flow, no matter what hose it's connected to, so I don't think that is what you want to do.

I have a 054 MAF on the car I am rebuilding ('93 90) but didn't get the hose with it...
...I have a hose for a 078 MAF and the 078 MAF.
I was hoping the answer was just "Yes" but hmmm, I guess I am going to have to find a hose (or make one) or convert the 054 to 078, any description??
I do now see that the one has a 4 wire connector and the other a 3 wire.

FYI, when reinstalling the MAF, but sure to put the clamp on the accordian hose to maf connection...
