You should just do it. We're talkin big money if it goes on you. I don't remember if I posted this before, but here goes:
You'll possibly replace all or some of these:
-Pistons, rings
-Several valves, seals
-Hydraulic lifters
-Cylinder head (at very least, shaved down to true)
-*maybe* camshaft, but prolly not
-Head gasket x2
-Timing Belt
-Tensioner
-Idler pulley
-Water pump
-Tstat, o-ring
-Thermoswitch (if you feel like it)
-etc.
= LOT$ OF MONEY
change it, especially if you don't know whether or not it's been done since you've owned it.
