Default Cleaned my MAF a week ago and threw the same Lean codes today plus a new one....

I got the Bank 1 and Bank 2 lean codes but also got 17658 - Fuel Level too Low. Does anyone know which sensor triggers this 17658 code? I replaced my fuel level sensor this past year and that has been working fine. I'm curious if this code was thrown earlier in the week and may not be one that triggers the CEL. Any ideas?

Default The lean codes sound like your LTFT's out of whack.....

If you have access to a vag check block 032 and see what your idle and pt LTFT's are. If any are out of whack (around +20%) it could be your S3 MAF since the ECU is not reprogrammed for the different bore size. Or it could simply be an air intake leak. Check for intake leaks.

Not sure about the fuel level.

I'll check that out. Doubtful to be the S3 MAF since I've had it for a year. Thanks.

Default Mr. D, had my codes checked a few weeks back . . I got a lean code and that fuel level low code as

well. I thought that was a bit odd having a full tank of gas. I didn't have both banks lean however. I've had UrS4's mods on for a while and these didn't show up when I went to Audi b4 . . . just the good ole EGR passage clogged.

Did you do anything to prevent the lean/fuel level codes from reoccuring?

Default Not yet . . I had them cleared by a guy in the area who owns a VAG. The next day unfortunately I got

the CEL back. Mance offered to check my codes when he gets a free moment. (Since he lives close by) So we'll see if its a new code or the same ones coming back to bite. I'll get back to you on that one. But man I wish I had the money to fork out to get a VAG. Other priorities right now . . .

Do you have his complete induction kit, too? (VS, MAF, S3 Hose Kit, S3 TB)

Default I really need to check mine as well...

After installing VS and cleaning the MAF sensor I thought cel would go away(thining it was there b/c of cone) but its back again. I kind if noticed it has tendecy to light up when I am slowing down and use motor for braking, but I really need to scan it.

Mine USED to do that. CEL when engine braking. Not sure why it doesn't anymore...
