<center><img src="http://pictureposter.audiworld.com/61331/p1010001.jpg"></center><p>i think i saw something like this on a earlier post but my engine runs great no probs other then one: in all gears if i can hear it at speed my trany or exhoust near the engine makes a ticking noise when i let off the gas. its not backfiering bc its not explosive sounding its like ding a tick like sound when i let off the gas and the rpm starts to drop it does it 2 times max 3 just about everytime what is this and what can i do?

Hmm, i dont know if its that.
But a little problem with our trannies is following:
If u let off gas, there is a scraping from the tranny ( i heared it, when i removed my inner lining [carpet], because water came in ) and the reason is a bad cogwheel ( gearwheel ). But u can drive many miles, if it doesnt disturb u. I asked a mechanic, and he told me that. Its an old malady ( trouble )...

is it a brazen ( metallic ) sound??
If yes, your catalytic converter is broken. And i guess its the left one.
You would find parts of it in your mid- and rear muffler.
You better get them out of there, because it could be, that the will block the outgoin emission, this means you will lose "power" and its not good for the engine ( hot air wants out ).

Broken cat(s) r normally by V6 12v.
