Did anyone ever find a cheap source for the DIY acid bath??

Default Yes, tried those, simple green, mother's Al polish/cleaner...

nothing gets it. The wheels are rough cast, which makes it worse. On my smooth Audi wheels the mothers is the best. Plus it acts like wax and makes future cleanup easier.

Default The ZEP products you buy from Home Depot aren't

the same as what you get from ZEP. It is a lesser product with ZEP's name on it. I will look later tonight, but they do make a heavy duty degreaser that I used for my IM that worked very well.

Default The one I have is A2Z wheel cleaner. Takes some rubbing and soaking, but gets rid of mine

Of course, I probably have wimpy brake dust.

Default Hides head in shame... You Miata Men awe me...

Got one more race tonight- King of the Hill. Then, perhaps more coaching of the womans team. Was match racing with them last night.

Tons of fun, but it is getting dark earlier each night and soon the wind will be gone too. Sigh.

I have three on my calendar right now. Both upcoming weekends and one in October I think.
