Default You have to dab a bit of rtv in the corner where the two end bearing caps meet the head.

This will be a total of 4 dabs of rtv. Be careful not to block the oil holes.

Default Oil passage openings are at the front and rear cam bearing caps...

really close by the spots where you are supposed to use a dabs of RTV. The openings are rectangular and very small. If you look close, you can't miss them.

Default You can take the head off in in one piece

Naturally, the TB has to come out.

No cleaner was used. That's how it looked with the valve cover removed before I cleaned the gasket mating surfaces. The valve cover gasket had been leaking. That's at ca 122k miles. I had been using Castrol Syntec 5W-50 and 10k milke oil change intervals for the previous 100k miles. I expect the engine uppers to look even cleaner now that I'm using M1 5W-40, which has better cleaning properties than the Syntec. I'll soon now, because I will take the valve covers off again.

Default I'm guessing TB is throttle body?

Mine is black and filled with flakes like a box of kellogs cereal, I could not even see the oil holes and had to dig the gum out of them..

I affaid to start the car after I'm all done with all the flakes I scraped off..

by the way any idea how to remove the bolts from the crank pulley, I'm about to grind them off since the last three are starting to round out..
