ECT sensor location, where is it?
I am a little confused on which sensor needs to be replaced. The issue is the car is stalling a lot. I've noticed it happens more when the car is up to temperature. Since the ECT sensor is relatively inexpensive, I would like to replace it.

I believe the picture above is the ECT thermal switch, no? This has nothig to do with the fuel injection?

I believe this what I need to replace, the ECT sensor. This is located next to the bleed screw. What is confusing me is that this appears to be threaded. the tech article that was link to my previous post only shows ECT's that slip in and retained by a clip. Is this indeed the ECT that should be changed out and does anybody know the part number?

Where's Waldo?
The ECT is right under the ICV. Good time to clean the dirty old bastard. The ECT has a metal clip on top. I've never had to remove mine, so I can't tell you how the bottom part looks when it's been pulled out.;-)
Looking at those pictures, I feel disoriented! :-P

Niether of the of the sensors pictured has a clip, are there some
that don't have clip? The first picture is of the sensor under the ICV. In the tech article there is a picture of a green sensor that has four pins, but one side is rounded. My four pin sensor is not rounded on one side. So the sensors on my car don't seem to match what was in the tech article, or what's available at the parts store.

Do you have a Bentley diagram?
The sensor you're looking for is accessed behind the engine on the passenger side. It should have a plug in the top and the wire clip inserts along the side, horizontally. If you can barely see it and it requires you to contort and cut your hands to replace, you're in the right spot. If you have even moderately sized hands I recommend removing the breather hose, plugs, and possibly even the plenum plate holding the vacuum hoses to get better access.

READ THIS! Disregaurd others!
Ok, I have read the other people's post and they are misleading. The first pic you show is the MFTS or Multi-function temp sensor. It controls the coolant gauge on your instrument cluster and somthing else I think. The second pic is the ECT, the bastard that is causing your stall problem when warm. In my Bentley it states that this sensor causes rough running under warm engine conditions when the sensor is broken. The MFTS is threaded, use a 29mm socket to remove. However, this does not need to be removed because it is not your problem. The ECT is also threaded but I do not remember what size wrench to use. Simply go to taylorautomotive.com or any other online store and buy the part for $30 or so dollars. Undo the old and put in the new. I had absolutely no coolant loss when I replaced mine about two months ago. Make sure the car is cold and relieve pressure in the coolant resevoir. That's all I can think of now. I hope you are able to fix the problem.<ul><li><a href="http://catalog.eautopartscatalog.com/taylor/wizard.jsp?partner=taylor&clientid=taylorautom otive&baseurl=http://www.taylorautomotive.com/&cookieid=1HF0M666Y1I80R0GAE&year=1995& ;make=AU&model=90--002&category
