Default ECU identification

is there a easy way to tell which ECU my car has (B4) without removing the dash to look at it?

TIA

Default If you have a skinny MAF, you have an MMS200, otherwise it's 300/311.

The MMS300 was only used for a few months (probably only mid-production year 1993 models but it's unclear), the MMS311 is much more common. The MMS300 has the same four connector plugs as the MMS200, the MMS311 has different i/o connections.

Default negative

something I have been meaning to get for years now.

Was considering a chip, however, I have wrong ECU in the 95Q. The 93 FWD may have the right ECU tho as it came with a stock small bore maf (since been replaced with large bore)

Didn't the MMS300 use the small bore MAF?

Default No.

Mance's MMS311 equipped B4 had a skinny MAF housing with the later electronics when he bought it. He is convinced that it came that way from the factory, based on the paint marks on the screws. I have not seen any other MMS311 cars equipped this way - every post MMS200 car I have ever seen has a fat MAF.
