I am thinking of doing this mod, but I am wonderiing if doing this mod would be the same as just diconnecting and pluging the vacume hose right at the EGR valve (the one bolted to the back of the engine).

If this is not the same could someone explain the difirence in these 2 approaches.

Is there a better one or is this the one that every onbe has been talking about.

AND I can see that it's not the same...

However does any one know the diffirence between this original mod and just unpluging the vacume between the EGR valve and the EGR Valve Controll Solenoid. then sealing both ends ?

It's the only method that will not result in a CEL.

I tried "my" method for a week and I did not get a CEL. I wonder than if this has something to do with the fact that my 12v is ODB I.

I will try Audiboy's mod and see if there is any diffirence in how pepy the car is...

..the valve to run when the OBD checks it. In normal driving it doesn't operate.
