Default Engine Coolant Temp Sensor Replacement - Part 3, and getting better!

Well, maybe I'm being a bit sarcastic. So I unscrewed the wiring on top of the black center air thing (plenum?) and pulled it up and out of the way. While I was busy cutting my fingers up trying to finger the CTS, my fat hands managed to bust the hose circled in green in the picture. It cracked in half about 1/2 inch from the L-joint that attaches the cylinder bank(?) - damn I need a Bently. I had sounding like an idiot...anyway. It smells like fuel, and is full of crud. What is it called, and where can I get a replacement FAST?! Do I just need the hose, or the clips too, etc? Thanks for your patience and help guys.

Default That appears to be the valve cover breather line.

It runs from the Valve Cover to the throttle body plenum and vents the oily crankcase gases back into the intake tract.

We have a winner! Okay, so do I just go ask the dealer for another one?

I think Bryän's 12v mentioned the VW breather hoses were a cheaper substitute

Default I *think* what Bryan said was getting the Audi parts through the VW dealer was cheaper.

Also check a salvage yard.

Default I think they were from a Passat

I could be wrong. In my case, the VW and Audi dealer are one and the same place. They share the parts department, but you pay more if you buy the same part for an Audi! I've bought identical oil filters and spark plugs for less this way.
