Quick pic of the just-installed 3"-2.75" MAF-to-plenum black silicone hose kit on a 90S. The A4 "short kit" is identical except for a 2" longer hose coming off the MAF. I used cable ties on his at the center coupler since we don't have enough new SS hose clamps right now to scavenge for our own cars as we're saving those for the sale kits. This hose kit has a 20% larger I.D. than the smallest opening in the stock hose. My son's got a date tonight so I won't get a butt dyno report til tomorrow 'round noon-ish when he drags his dyno out of bed.
This 1995 90S has a 96 A4 engine w/54k miles (oil pump in stock motor failed at 68k), airbox velocity stack, K&N panel filter, 4" cold air inlet velocity stack behind the headlight, urethane MAF gasket, bored MAF & sensor from a 97 A4 and stage 2+ throttle body. The car runs incredibly strong for an automatic, being able to break the tires loose and squeal em for 5-10 ft from a dead stop on DRY pavement just by mashing the go-pedal in sport mode. I do at times miss that with quattro tho I'd opt for rear wheel spin if I had a choice.
I'll try and get a pic up of the "all-out" kit sometime this weekend (code name: SR-71 Blackbore;-)... the 3" black stealthy MAF-to-throttle body silicone hose induction kit.
