Default Gas milage jumped 17% after UrS4's MAF install.......

The previous milage just before installation
of UrS4's ported MAF plus Stage 2 Hose
Kit = 14.6 MPG.
The 962 miles since installation of the MAF
= 17.1 MPG. A 17% increase!
I had previously installed UrS4's CAI & VS.
Before all that, I had installed TDL's
bored TB.

Default actually it's the rule rather than the exception where induction is concerned...

I havent talked to anyone yet who's gas mileage suffered with any of my modifications. My mileage has increased 14%.

The paradox is it does provide better efficiency and gas mileage when driving conservatively but will provide worse gas mileage when summoning all those new-found ponies than it did before.

Rule of thumb:
Better mileage than before when not pushing it, worse mileage than before when pushing it. The reults are driver-determined rather than mod-determined.

Default even the good ol butt dyno, vague and ambiguous as it is, relies on wheel numbers as there's...

no way for the butt to perceive crank HP outputs without benefit of wheels to transfer that input to the ground and subsequently the driver. Any/all perceived or felt numbers will be wheel output rather than crank output. Crank can't transfer tactile information to a driver. Only audible output in the car and audio-visual outputs if on an engine dyno, neither of which can measure HP/torque since we can't see, hear or smell HP/torque. That leaves "feel" as the best we can do without benefit of a purpose-built machine.

Doesn't make our perceptions right, close or even very accurate. But it does make them "at the wheels."
