It is the basis of Mance's SXTB and the ultra rare RSXTB.

No wierder than the other 'S' throttle bodies unless by "wierd" you mean that it is not a VAG part #

Default Oh, it's a Pierburg?

Sorry, I didn't follow the throttle body research as closely as I should have. So that's the TB of a 95 A4 cabrio?

Default Sure. :-)

No, we found them on C4 A6's although that doesn't mean Cabs didn't have them.

Default wow... never thought I'd see the day ;)

I agree whole heartedly with JWG, Michael. Get rid of the stuff you haven't put on the car yet, and keep the rest. The stuff is already installed and the money is already spent, so why go backwards? At least that's the way I look at it.

After this weekend, I've been having some serious talks with the father and brother about future cars as well... esp with that damn P/S hose leaking. Car just rolled 111k, and will soon be 10 yrs old this coming winter, which means there is a chance it's gonna start costing more $$ to keep going. it's great right now (knock on wood), but after 200 mi a week min every week, the miles are gonna add up. I'd also love to pick up an UrQ down the road as well to turn into a fun track/autox car... but we'll see I guess. Gotta think practical first, then go for play Really need to just win the lottery... then my worries would be gone =P
