Default gear puller?

What size gear puller is appropriate to pop loose the camshaft sprocket and the TB sprocket on the crank? I Picked up a 6", it seems to big though. Should a 4", 2 ton?, be able to handle both of these sprockets?

I've got a Craftsman that spreads from 3" to 10", & it worked out fine.

Default Let me elaborate more.........

you'll have to place the jaws on the outside of the sprocket rather than the inside like the manual says.

Did you have the lock carrier removed? My Sear's puller is hitting the lock carrier.

Thanks a lot! Don't suppose you know of a cheaper solution, though? ;-)

Plus set'm up so the bolts are in the bottom holes of the puller arms.

I had to also use a Vise-grip chain wrench, to hold the arms of the puller together. To keep the puller from slipping off the cam sprocket.
