Default GIANT NAKED WOMEN

Okay, now that I have your attention, I've got a question. I have a '97 A4qm w/ 2.8, wit 91,000 miles. Lately, when letting out the clutch, I'm hearing a "clunk" as it engages. It doesn't happen if Im really careful, but if I'm kinda casual about it, it clunks. It happens occasionally going into second also.
For what it's worth, I've been driving a stick since Jeebus wore short pants.
Any thoughts?

Default Yeah, mine did that clunking w/ bad engine mounts

you could feel it "bump" under your feel. It ended up busting the snub mount spindle too, but surprisingly it only cost $7 at the dealer. Engine mounts were another story.
