Default Hacking the 12V ECU

Possible? Maybe....

I ran across this:

<a href="http://www.sr20forum.com/technical-information-library/94997-how-install-daughterboard-b13-s13-etc-ecu-long.html">http://www.sr20forum.com/technical-information-library/94997-how-install-daughterboard-b13-s13-etc-ecu-long.html</a>

and noticed it had a 40-pin header just like the 12V ECU (which actually has 2)

And....

JECS is a division of Hitachi, who makes the 12V ECU.

I looked at some old notes from a few years back (I briefly looked into the 12V ECU for a couple ppl), and unfortunately the headers are not the same pinout, but, all the lines are there if you wanted to disable the internal ROM and use external.

Just passing this info on, I don't have a 12V Audi, or a 12V ECU laying around, but if anyone has some experience with EPROMs and circuits, I bet they could figure this out pretty easily.

Of course, I woudldn't say no if someone wanted to send me an ECU for free to look at
