Default Ummm moron...

<center><img src="http://pictureposter.audiworld.com/711/dyno1.jpg"></center><p>
1 horsepower was actually measured by a gentleman named Watt; it's the amount of work a horse could do in 1 minute. He used a pulley arrangement, and discovered that a horse could lift 33,000 lbs 1 foot in 1 minute. That would be 33,000 ft-lbs/min. Since a 1-foot radius thing moves a distance of 2pi feet when rolling, that means that for a twisting force, 1 HP = 33,000 ft-lbs of torque / 2pi per minute. 33,000 divided by 2pi is 5252.

Therefore 5252 is an "absolute" number, it's constant and unchanging. Why? Because it's the friggin FORMULA dummy!! It's the only way a dyno can do the conversion accurately! If any chassis dyno shows the intersection of HP/TQ at ANY other value than 5252 the numbers have been "cooked."

Your printout clearly shows the HP/TQ values intersecting at a point approximately 15% lower than the ONLY intersection possible on a chassis dyno! That means your "actual" HP claims will be showing approximately and artificially 20% "higher" than real/actual! If the "real" conversion of 5252 is used you're about stock HP!

Secondly, your printout shows it was done on 07-23-07 and yet you have a post (see the link below) on 09-22-07 saying your dyno pull was done the day "before" showing 189HP and your print-out is dated 2 months earlier on 07-23-07 showing 225.2HP. And now you have as many as 3-4 posts floating around All claiming different/higher numbers. Which is it? Oh, and BTW... when you have a "real" dyno print-out for us to look at and one we should believe it will look like the one above and NOT like the one you made up or cut/pasted/modified to justify one or two of your many and varied claims.

You "say" 189HP 2 months "after" your dyno plot shows 225.2HP... a number that's 36.2HP "lower," TWO MONTHS LATER than the dyno print-out!!! You keep that up and you'll be down to "0" HP before the years out! What's up with all the inconcistencies!?!

Default sadly, that's what we're most afraid of. You don't even know enough to know...

when you've had your *** kicked, when/where you're not wanted or even the good sense to know when to STFU!

Default you are absolutely 100% rediculous and paranoid

First off here is a dyno chart from a bmw that doesnt cross at 5200, so i guess automobile magazine is lying as well. Just because differerent dyno pulls with different states of tuning vary signifigantly does not mean i am a moron or a liar. I really think that you cant handle the fact that someone else can make these engines run with higher hp besides you.....especially dare i say it : a younger person. I specifically chose this platform and engine combo because people like you said it couldnt be turbo'd and now that I have proven it can be done those same people are still denying the facts. So if anyone else wants to tell me how much i dont know about turboing this engine please feel free and post your better setup. oh wait there are none, sorry.

Default I'm not trying to pick sides, but what Mance said about dyno's is 100% correct..

HP = torque * RPM / 5252

That is the formula to determine HP from torque. Torque is the only thing the dyno measures..

The chart you showed does not intersct at 5252 because, if you had taken a second to look at it, or do any research you would see that HP and torque are on two different scales on your example..

Default and unlike your dyno chart, where the scales are the same.. PROOF that its fake! Didnt even take..

the time to do your research and make a proper fake!
