Default How bad is it leaking?

It may well be that the head gaskets are moist and that you are losing a bit oil there. My engine has been doing that for 80k miles or so. I'm probably going to retorque the headbolts next time I remove the intake manifold to replace the leaky valley pan gasket. Personally, I would want to see with my own eyes where the oil is leaking. Chances are the VP gasket is leaking in any case. Removing the IM and replacing the VP gasket isn't that bad of a job to do yourself. Cost is essentially only the VP gasket and the two IM gaskets.

Default You will need a few hours

Outside is fine, unless it's windy, raining, or very hot or cold.

I wrestled a little with it and decided to leave it alone.

Default Not if you have an A4!

I did remove the EGR valve from the IM and replaced the gasket, but I didn't have to take the EGR valve completely off to remove the IM.
