Default Head gasket issues (Long)

About 3 weeks ago my head gasket went and had it replaced. The work was done rather smartly and while apart the heads were shaved ever so slightly. The pistons looked good and the valves were just fine. All looked pretty good. Now, I bought this car used ('93 100 Cs Q) which currently has 185,000 kms. Several of the vacuum lines were disconnected. I found the diagrams to replace all the lines which was done. The EGR was cleaned out as well the throttle body cleaned. Now, once the car was put back together, the idle is stumbling but driving the car was smooth! Cam Timing was double checked plugs replaced etc... I cannot get rid of the stumble at idle! No check engine light comes on anything else seems to be the problem. I followed everything "by the book". The O2 sensors were not replaced in this work and I have been told if anti freeze touches them (o2 sensor)they are spoiled. An opinion on this please. Any other bits of info would be appreciated.

Default Check for vacuum leaks

It's easy to overlook vacuum leaks. Check the the idle control valve, and check the MAF sensor. Make sure all spark plug wires and spark plugs are fine. Make sure the EGR system is working fine. Check for codes.

Default yeah as mori said

check the icv, there is a tutorial someplace for cleaning it out and testing the resistance of it. Do a search, it's around.

Default Its only three bolts and a plug holding it in place. Only clean the bottom half..

the top is the electricle part you dont want to get cleaner on. Its located on the back corner of the passanger side right below were the plenum and plastic corrigated intake tubing meet.

Default I don't mean to throw off the topic but,,,,,,,,,,,,

When your head gasket went out,,,,how was it
driving before? Did you have bad oil leaks,
Or coolant leaks?

Also check if there's leaks on the intake manifold, where it meets the heads.

Default head gasket usually mean

coolant leaks into your engine. White frothy oil.
